This is an easy recipe for homemade salsa! This chunky and fresh dip is created by a combination of chopped tomatoes, onions, peppers, lime juice and herbs like cilantro. This classic homemade salsa can be served with tortilla chips or used as a condiment with dishes like tacos or fajitas.

- 100 g crushed canned tomatoes
- 5-6 cherry tomatoes
- 1 red pepper
- 1 small bunch of cilantro
- ⅓ red onion
- ½ lime (juice)
- 1 big garlic clove
- 1 tsp chili powder or chili flakes
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 jalapeno pepper (optional)
Roughly chop all the vegetables and fruit.
Place the chopped vegetables and fruit into a food processor or a blender. Add the spices, sugar and lime juice, and pulse in quick bursts until the mixture is finely chopped.
