Cuisine Brazilian
- ½ onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 big bell peppers (yellow & red)
- 1 chili pepper (half red & half green)
- 1 big tomato or 5-6 cherry tomatoes
- 60 g Neapolitan sauce or Passata
- 200 g white fish (cod, seafood or like that)
- 100 g shrimps
- 50 g mussels (or you can add your fav seafood)
- 250 ml fish or veg stock
- 400 ml coconut milk (canned, 17-19% fat)
- ¼ tsp coriander
- ¼ tsp chili flakes
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
Cut the fillet of white fish into pieces, add salt and pepper and leave to marinate. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the bell peppers and chili pepper into strips. Cut the tomatoes into cubes.
Place a pan on medium heat, pour oil into there, add onion and garlic there and fry a bit. Add peppers, and stew them for a couple of minutes, so they get softened.
Add a spice mix, shrimp and mussels, then add tomatoes and Passata sauce, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
Add stock, and let it boil a bit, occasionally stirring (for about 5 mins). Add fish pieces and coconut milk, and mix. Decrease the heat to low, cover the pan with the lid and let it cook for 15 mins.
Pour Moqueca in the bowls, and serve with some rice and chopped cilantro. Enjoy!
