Parmesan Baked Asparagus

- 1 lb. fresh asparagus, washed and trimmed
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Wash and trim the asparagus. In a large mixing bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, making sure each spear is evenly coated.
In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.
Place the asparagus spears on the lined baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle the Parmesan and garlic powder mixture evenly over the asparagus. Season the asparagus with salt and pepper, to taste. Bake it for 10-13 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the Parmesan is golden and crispy. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the asparagus.
Remove the asparagus from the oven and transfer it to a serving plate. Enjoy!
