Parmesan Baked Asparagus

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. fresh asparagus, washed and trimmed
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Wash and trim the asparagus. In a large mixing bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, making sure each spear is evenly coated.
  • In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.
  • Place the asparagus spears on the lined baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle the Parmesan and garlic powder mixture evenly over the asparagus. Season the asparagus with salt and pepper, to taste. Bake it for 10-13 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the Parmesan is golden and crispy. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the asparagus.
  • Remove the asparagus from the oven and transfer it to a serving plate. Enjoy!
