- ½ lb. large prawns, butterflied (cut lengthwise but not all the way through)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili flakes
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
- Lime wedges for serving
In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chili, lime juice, paprika, salt, and pepper to create the butter mixture.
Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the butter mixture generously over the butterflied prawns, making sure to coat both sides of the prawns.
Once the grill is hot, place the butterflied prawns on the grill. Cook them for about 2 minutes on each side until they are opaque and slightly charred. Be careful not to overcook them to keep them tender and juicy.
Remove the prawns from the grill and transfer them to a serving plate. Garnish the chili and lime butterflied prawns with fresh cilantro or parsley for added freshness and color. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
