Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 ball burrata cheese
  • 1 pear, diced
  • ΒΌ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp toasted pecans, chopped
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a skillet set over medium heat melt the butter. Add the diced pears, honey, and optionally, cinnamon.
  • Stir the pears occasionally and continue to cook for approximately 5 minutes until they reach tenderness and develop a sweet and sticky caramel-like sauce thanks to the honey. Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the caramelized pears to cool slightly. Set aside.
  • In the same skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Place the bread slices into the skillet and toast them on both sides until they attain a pleasing golden brown and a delightful crispiness.
  • Tear the burrata cheese into bite-sized pieces and arrange them atop the toasted bread slices. Generously spoon the caramelized pears with honey over the burrata cheese. Sprinkle the toasted pecans, which have been roughly chopped, over the pears for an added layer of texture and flavor. Season the bruschetta with a pinch of salt and some freshly ground black pepper to enhance the taste. Enjoy!
