Ingredients

Squid

  • 2 small squids, cleaned and prepared (approximately 150g each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon Garlic Sauce

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (such as parsley or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  • Clean the squid by removing the head, tentacles, and internal organs. Rinse it under cold water and pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut it into pieces.
  • Preheat your grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Before grilling, drizzle some olive oil over the squid to coat it evenly. This helps prevent sticking and adds a touch of moisture.
  • Place the squid on the hot grill pan. Cook for approximately 1-2 minutes until it develops grill marks and starts to curl. Flip the squid over to the other side. Continue cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until it is fully cooked. The squid should be opaque and firm to the touch.
  • Prepare the lemon garlic sauce by whisking together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  • Remove the grilled squid from the heat and transfer it to a serving platter. Drizzle lemon garlic sauce over the grilled squid and garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
  • Serve immediately while the squid is still hot. The lemon garlic sauce adds a zesty and garlicky flavor to the grilled squid, enhancing its natural taste. The combination of tender squid and tangy sauce creates a delightful seafood dish. Enjoy!
