Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat, add butter and let it melt. Place the bread slices and toast until lightly golden brown just on one side.
Place a slice of cheese on an unbuttered side of bread, then top it with tuna salad mixture, add some slices of tomato.
Then add some cheese again and cover with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
