Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (14oz)
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup of maple syrup or honey
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Blend the ingredients together until they form a smooth and creamy spread, scraping down the sides of the processor or blender as needed (see the notes).
- Taste the spread and adjust the sweetness and saltiness as needed. Transfer the spread to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
